Hand-painted Eco-friendly Ceramic Travel Mugs by Yevgenia

So while at school, I basically live off of coffee. At home, I barely feel inclined to drink any unless I'm downtown with my friends at Coffee Underground. I came across these super adorable ceramic travel mugs this past week and died. Not sure if I've mentioned this yet but... I love florals and floral prints. Having one of these insanely dainty and adorable cups might make-up for the days when I'm sleep deprived, pale from the sunlight I haven't been able to enjoy, and life has been sucked out of me from tedious projects.

If florals aren't your cup of tea (heh, I had to), these travel mugs are also customizable to the other prints available in the shop. Seller, Brooklyn-based yevgenia, also offers some other ceramic and glass kitchenware options for sale.

Style Muse: Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung has always been a style muse to me. A way to describe her sense of style is tomboy-chic. She allows for a lot of femininity in her pieces and wears cute frocks with precious flats, and often throws on a blazer or trench. Love it. With her MTV show having been axed, PBS is bringing her back to television with a show in which she teaches Americans how to properly explore thrift stores. Now another reason to set the dial on PBS for something other than Austin City Limits and their surprisingly good cooking programs. It'll be like being Alexa's friend and going on scavenger thrifts (not really, one can dream)! Here's a plethora of some of my favorite "Alexadrobes."

Langdon Graves

Well folks, Atlanta is currently in a state of emergency according to the mayor, and I've been experiencing some mild cabin fever. Fortunately the plaza down the street was open today so my roommate and I were able to get some Starbucks... For two hours. We were glad to get out of our dorm room.

This icepocalypse has brought an opportunity for a new blog post! Today I bring you Langdon Graves. All I can tell you is that he's a fine artist based in Brooklyn and that I'm obsessed with his drawings. They're so clean with beautiful detail. The coloring he adds is a nice touch, too.

Vans Vault Spring 2011 Lookbook

When it comes to lookbooks, they're pretty perfect to me because they're fashion-based but still involve design. I'm also a huge fan of Vans, and their Vans Vault collection is kind of nostalgic while using trendy colors, prints, and styles. San Francisco designer Scott Barry collaborated with Vans Vault to create a limited edition 30-page lookbook. The lookbook is free at Vans Vault retailers across the nation.

Proenza Schouler Resort 2011

Hi readers!

Sorry for the lack of posts this past week. I'm back in Atlanta doing the school thing again and taking on an internship so any free time I've had was devoted to friends, Wii, relaxing, and The Food Network.

Something exciting: for my Typography 2 class, we drew envelopes with a typeface enclosed. I just happened to draw Futura! One of my favorites, certainly, so I'm excited to learn more about it and design a poster with it.

Today I wanted to go back to fashion with the Proenza Schouler 2011 Resort Collection. This collection debuted online a while ago but it's just too lovely to not talk about.

I'm crazy for their ethnic prints, and their color scheme of peach, teal, orange, navy and neutrals just work. Can't forget about the latter part of this line which features some gorgeous metallic textiles. Who would've thought that Jack and Lazaro could actually offer a desirable striped baja? I would never consider wearing a baja... But Proenza Schouler offers a mighty fine exception.
