Scanwiches

It's exactly what it sounds like. This fantastic blog provides scans of delicious-looking sandwiches. Such a simple concept that's so amazing; I praise the creator of this blog. Plus, I love scanning as a medium. Maybe Scanwiches will give you some ideas for spicing up your brown bag routine.

Out of Print Clothing

Literature and graphic tees are becoming intertwined by Out of Print Clothing. Out of Print is creating some really awesome graphic tees in celebration of many acclaimed classic and more recent, striking novels. Moby Dick, Where The Red Fern Grows, A Tale of Two Cities, To Kill A Mockingbird, Lolita, and Atlas Shrugged are just a few of the novels that have been translated graphically. To correlate books and tees even more, all of their shirts are worn and distressed to match the likes of a well-read book.

Out of Print is also giving back. As a collaborative effort with Books for Africa, each shirt sold equals a book donated for the organization. Getting yourself one of their fresh tees will not only fulfill your closet but the imagination of someone in need.

Osborn Design

In 2009, Aaron Osborn and Carla Venticinque founded Osborn Design. Aaron graduated from RISD and Carla from Tyler School of Art. Osoborn Design was started as a way for them to revive Guatemala while exhibiting their creative talent. Inspiration for their vibrant shoes came from the textiles commonly worn by Guatemalan women. Each of the designs are hand-crafted and screen printed by Aaron and Carla. The shoes are vegan and are hand-crafted by artisanal cobblers in Guatemala, thus, the quality is phenomenal. Each shoe is even signed by the maker, bringing another sense of uniqueness and added quality. With high-quality comes a price with each pair ranging from about $98-$185, though some sale pairs are as low as $70.

I've been a huge fan of these bright and fun oxfords and booties for a while now. Hopefully I'll be able to get a pair in the new year. Hope you all had a merry Christmas!

Wearable Food by Yeonju Sung

With Yeonju Sung's work, the best of both worlds collide: food and fashion. The Korean photographer meticulously constructed each edible garment and photographed them. To summarize a bit of her artist statement, her intention was to modify the traditional functionalities of garments and food. They're really beautiful yet so easily destroyed and perishable. Can you figure out all of the foods used in Sung's fashions?

Kawashima Kotori

Kawashima Kotori is a Japanese photographer whose models probably get cranky in the afternoon but aren't usually too hard to keep track of: her children. Her youngest (I assume?) is a toddler, Mirai. Clearly, she is all kinds of preciousness and these photos are adorable. Prepare for the cuteness explosion...

Blogger Style, Couple Edition: Keiko Lynn + Bobby

Keiko Lynn of keikolynn.com and Bobby of thisfellow.com are a style-blogging dating duo based in Brooklyn. She is a fashion designer for her line Postlapsaria. He (from what I've visually gathered in his blog) is a chef. They're both indubitably well-dressed. Keiko has had some pretty impressive featurettes, including WWD, Glamour, Lucky, Bust, etc, and has received some pretty amazing swag (lots of Coach... drool... jealous).

I'll have to reiterate something I've read on The Sartorialist (not verbatim), but it really is quite lovely seeing couples dress in the same manner and approach. Take a gander below at Keiko + Bobby.
